BELLEVUE CITY COUNCIL PASSES RESOLUTION TO SUPPORT SOUND TRANSIT’S REGIONAL PROPOSITION 1
BELLEVUE, WA—The Bellevue City Council late Monday evening passed a resolution with a 4 to 1 vote to support Regional Proposition 1, the Sound Transit ballot measure to expand the regional light rail system to 116 miles, add new Bus Rapid Transit routes to I-405 and SR-522 and extend commuter rail service and express bus service.
As part of their resolution, the City Council cited several of the benefits Proposition 1 will bring to their community and concluded the resolution with the following excerpt:
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BELLEVUE, WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Bellevue declares its support of Sound Transit Proposition 1 and urges voters to vote “yes” on Sound Transit Proposition 1.
