ISSAQUAH CITY COUNCIL UNANIMOUSLY PASSES RESOLUTION TO SUPPORT SOUND TRANSIT’S REGIONAL PROPOSITION 1
ISSAQUAH, WA—The Issaquah City Council late Monday evening unanimously passed a resolution to support Regional Proposition 1, the Sound Transit ballot measure to expand the regional light rail system to 116 miles, add new Bus Rapid Transit routes to I-405 and SR-522 and extend commuter rail service and express bus service.
As part of their resolution, the City Council cited several of the benefits Proposition 1 will bring to their community and concluded the resolution with the following excerpt:
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ISSAQUAH, WASHINGTON HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council supports Sound Transit Proposition No. 1, Light-Rail, Commuter-Rail, and Bus Service Expansion.
